Oscar Garcia claps the fans today
Oscar Garcia admitted his star striker was guilty of dangerous play at Reading today.
But he felt Albion should have won, despite Leo Ulloa’s first-half dismissal.
Ulloa was dismissed for catching home defender Alex Pearce with his boot as he went for a bouncing ball.
The hosts had already lost Pavel Pogrebnyak to a pair of bookable offences.
Oscar said: “It was dangerous play by Leo.
“He didn’t want to touch the player, he wanted to touch the ball.
“But he touched the player and he was sent off.
“The referee had a better view than me.”
Oscar did not criticise Ulloa’s decision to go for the ball with his foot.
He added: “I prefer that all the players go to the ball, not go and then stop and see what has happened.
“If you play 100% sometimes this can happen.”
Albion had enough chances to have recorded their second successive away win.
Oscar added: “I thought if we were more accurate in front of goal, we would have got three points.
“We had many chances to score, very clear chances to score."
