Oscar had another interesting taste of Championship refereeing as the game neared half-time. Long's weak header was seized upon by Ulloa, who rounded keeper Heaton just outside the box. Heaton tripped the striker - but referee Sheldrake decided there were enough defenders scurrying back to only show a yellow card.
To add to Albion's frustration, David Lopez saw his resulting free-kick curl agonisingly wide of the near post.

3:43pm
Treacy then skipped away down the right of the area and drilled in a low cross which was too far in front of Vokes rght inf ront of goal as Burnley continued to look dangerous.
Albion replied with a terrific attack from inside their own half engineered by Agustien. The Dutchman swapped passes with Crofts and slid an angled pass through to Buckley, who fired past the near post from the inside-left berth.

3:40pm
Albion were ahead but hardly dominating. And there was concern when Ulloa had to go off for treatment to his ankle after a challenge.
The striker returned somewhat tentatively.
However he was fit enough to clear with an overhead bicycle kick as Burnley enjoyed squall of pressure from a free-kick conceded by Upson, who was booked.
The ball bounced around the home penalty area but Burnley were unable to get a goal attempt in.

3:34pm
Burnley quickly responded with a high ball to beyond the far post which Vokes headed downwards into the goalmouth - but Kuszczak gathered.

3:30pm
The breakthrough was not much longer in coming. Ulloa was too strong and persistent for*Long, who dithered in possession. Ulloa won the ball off him out to the left, made ground and*squared for CROFTS to apply the finish with a low shot.

3:28pm
Albion produced their best effort so far in the 26th minute as Calderon joined an attack. He fed Buckley just inside the box and, as the winger lost his footing trying to twist and turn just inside the box, Calderon followed up to drill a shot low across Heaton and just past the far post

3:24pm
Burnley responded and Treacy's powerful run helped work space for Arfield to the left of goal.*His shot deflected off a defender and slithered about a yard wide of the far post though Kuszczak had it covered.
The Pole had been the busier keeper so far but Albion looked to up the tempo.
Buckley went on a great run down the left, beating two men before Trippier barged him over just outside the box.
David Lopez's free-kick was pinpoint - right on the head of Crofts*in front of goal - but his header flew over.

3:17pm
The Albion formation had changed somewhat with Buckley (left) and David Lopez (right) pulling wide. Buckley produced a great touch to bring down Ince's lofted pass and his cross to the far post was cleared by the Burnley defence.

3:15pm
The game quietened down after the initial burst of activity. Burnley looked to get Trippier in behind the defence but Buckley had tracked back well and shielded the ball out for a goal kick.

3:09pm
Burnley were playing some decent stuff early on. Marney got forward to the right of goal and slid in a low cross which Ings met at the near post. But Kuszczak was down smartly to his left to save.

3:07pm
Trippier, a threat from right-back for Burnley, did not take long to whip in his first cross. It skipped up off the wet turf and Vokes got a touch to it with his right foot. But he could control it and the ball bounced through to Kuszczak.
Trippier's next cross was badly miscued. But it landed at the feet of Treacy, whose shot from outside the box was straight at Kuszczak.
Treacy, nominally the right-sided midfielder, was tucking in help congest midfield when Albion had the ball and leave room for Tripper when Burnley attacked.
Albion had a hint of a chance when Ince won the ball back and slid a pass in to Ulloa breaking into the inside-left channel. But the striker made a mess of his left-foot shot and his mis-kick slithered harmlesly across the goalmouth.

3:03pm
Albion, with their fans on good voice, made a bright start. Ward was involved in some neat passing down the left and curled in a dangerous cross which was headed away from the oncoming Ince.

3:01pm
The teams are changing ends - as they did when Burnley visited last season. Bruno lost the toss that day as stand-in skipper. I'm guessing the Clarets won the flip today and opted to make Albion attack the North Stand in the first half.
The match is in progress.

For those who did not see his tweet earlier, my colleague Andy Naylor will offer a personal tribute to*Tony Millard in The Argus on Monday*

Albion kicked off with a diamond midfield at Birmingham last week. If the same happens today, it would mean a line-up of...
*************************KUSZCZAK
CALDERON** GREER** UPSON** WARD
***************************** INCE
************ CROFTS******** AGUSTIEN
******************** DAVID LOPEZ
************** **BUCKLEY** ULLOA

Here's your team news. We have no official confirmation as to why Andrews does not feature today. The most obvious reason would seem to be injury or illness.
