Sussex's two leading sports clubs - Brighton & Hove Albion and Sussex County Cricket Club - have forged a new exciting partnership which will see the two clubs working much closer together as both strive to progress on and off the field. The new tie-up kicks off today (Friday), with the shop at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground promoting and selling tickets for Albion's friendly fixture against Villarreal on Saturday evening, and the cricket club will also be promoting the game to cricket fans at Hove on Friday and Saturday for the Australia match .
Albion's head of commercial development Simon Williams commented, "Both Sussex CCC and ourselves face very similar operational challenges and by working together, sharing expertise and experiences it will be of mutual benefit to both clubs.
"We also have a number of fans who follow both teams - so it makes sense to have a collaborative approach which can help them too.

"Our seasons might overlap a little bit, but ultimately it is rare that we are ever in direct competition with one another, and even this weekend, due to the Australia match, we opted for an evening kick-off to allow fans to attend both matches if they want to."
Trevor Mould, Sussex CCC Head of Commercial, added, "Both Simon Williams, Albion’s head of commercial development and I enjoy the same vision in bringing the two clubs closer together for the benefit of both sets of supporters and this is the first stage of many."
Over the coming months the two clubs envisage further collaboration could include merchandise, memberships and tickets being available via both clubs.
