* Albion's new head coach Oscar Garcia is poised to make Swansea central midfielder Kemy Agustien one of his first signings.

* Agustien flew out to Spain for talks at the Seagulls training camp in Segovia early this week, The Argus understands.

* The squad Oscar has inherited from sacked predecessor Gus Poyet has been left short of central midfielders and Agustien, a good passer of the ball, is seen as a perfect fit for Albion's style of play.

* The talented 26-year-old Dutchman, who has a year left on his contract at the Liberty Stadium, made 18 Premier League appearances for the Swans last season under Michael Laudrup and 13 the previous year under Brendan Rodgers, who signed him for the Welshmen in 2010.

* Agustien, a former Dutch Under-21 international, has also had loan spells in English football with Birmingham and Albion's arch-rivals Crystal Palace after beginning his career in Holland with Wilem 11 and AZ.

* Central midfield is a priority area for Oscar. Gary Dicker was released at the end of last season, Dean Hammond has returned from his loan spell to Southampton and Ryan Harley, currently sidelined by a hamstring injury, remains a fringe figure.
