Your right, what i mean't was that seeing as Steven Lawrence has a memorial in the same borough (no problem with that) then why was the memorial for Lee turned down.

I understand that the local authority are concerned it will become a focal point for far right protest. This is of course a nonsense - even in the immediate aftermath of the murder the loony fascists couldn't raise much of a protest.
