Still, old Ted did get as many goals as the much more celebrated Wardy in the League season that Brighton were promoted from Div Two. Can't have been all bad.

Teddy Maybank was a god for one season. Mark Farrington on the other hand ........

I vote David Livermore. We were rubbish at the time, and for the first time in about ten years, we signed a player I had actually HEARD of. A player with hundreds of appearances at a higher level.

And he turned out to be utter gash.
Yes, this. Or Graeme Smith, who I got quite unreasonably excited about, believing he had some sort of pedigree, only to find....

I'm going to say Tommy Elphick. He was a very good player at a very young age, I thought he would go on to be a future captain :(

Also in recent years, Gavin Hoyte on loan from Arsenal. Truly awful.
