Gus Poyet*was last night among the favourites to take over as boss of Stoke City.
But Albion fans are still waiting to hear what the future holds for their club.
Poyet and his colleagues Mauricio Taricco and Charlie Oatway remain under investigation by the Seagulls.
The Uruguayan was in the top three in the betting for the Stoke job vacated last night by Tony Pulis with odds as short as 9/2.
Rafa Benitez shot to the top of the betting but Roberto di Matteo is also a strong contender.
Albion have offered no indication as to the progress of their investigation but Poyet looks certain to leave The Amex.
