Not Barnes?
I felt he contributed a lot more than Buckley!

Barnes got a 7.

The others were

PIG 6 - as he had sod all to do
Calde 5 - as he had sod all to do
Bridge 6
Greer 8
Upson 7
Hammond 6

Barnes was definitely worthy of a 9 - he was excellent. Obviously he scored twice but his general holdup and link play was superb

They also gave the ref 8/10, which was surprising as he was fairly awful.

Really? I can't remember a single thing that he got wrong and the first thing Paul Ince did at the end of the game is walk onto the pitch and shake the ref's hand. The only questionable thing was the length of injury time, but that happens sometimes in maulings (come to think of it, that's probably why Ince wanted to thank him!)

They say he had sod all to do but Kuszczak actually made a terrific save at some point in the 2nd half - I think it may have been just after we conceded - and tipped a good strike around the post. If we had let in another at that point things may have become very edgy. 1 very good save may be all a keeper does in a match, however if he does it well he cannot be faulted for it.

What about the throw in near the end when he awarded it to Blackpool? The ref must have known the he got the decision wrong judging from the crowd's incredulous reaction.

Saying that, I thought the referee had a good game.

Our midfield is seriously good, with phenomenal strength in depth.

Hammond only got a six in a chimp a like contest and his diving header.
