The Players' Awards Dinner at the Amex is less than a month away and two high-profile hosts have been confirmed with Sky Sports’ Hayley McQueen and BBC’s Mark Clemmit compering the night on Tuesday 7th May.
Hayley, daughter of former Leeds United and Manchester United footballer Gordon, worked for Fox Sports and Manchester United’s MUTV before joining Sky Sports News.
Hayley also presents Champions League football for Sky Sports and is also a host for The FA at Wembley Stadium on England and FA Cup matchdays.
Mark is the Features Reporter for BBC One’s the Football League Show so will be a familiar face to Albion fans who follow the club’s progress on the Saturday night programme.
His television reporting credits also include Final Score, Football Focus and Match of the Day, while he has been specialising in the Football League for BBC Radio 5 Live throughout the past decade so his voice is as familiar over the airwaves.
The event will include a champagne reception, three-course dinner including wine (view menu) and will provide an opportunity for supporters, club directors, management team and players to celebrate what has been another fantastic season at the Amex. The evening will also include an appearance from Brighton-based comedian Stephen Grant.
The Players' Awards ceremony will begin after dinner and guests will re-live the stand-out moments from the 2012/13 season through a highlights package, created especially for the night in the company of Gus Poyet and a number of his players.
