Let's look at the career record of some of England's best ever:

Rio Ferdinand - 573 apps, 13 goals, so 1 in 44 games
Bobby Moore - 816 apps, 28 goals, so 1 in 30 games
Des Walker - 726 apps, 1 goal, so not even 1 in a blue moon.

Was that the Cup Final own goal?!

What I'd expect from a decent side is an attack which scores 40, midfield that scores 20 and 10 from defence. We need to score more goals across the park

John Terry - 30 goals in 384 appearances for Chelsea according to Wikipedia - what a star.

If Upson or Greer had been on the end of Vicentes back post dink, instead of Buckley, we would have won last night.

Wouldn't say Greer is even that much better at heading than Buckley tbh. He's poor for a cb, highlighted by the goals he's scored.

Why do we bother sending the cb's up for corners free kicks etc if their job is just to stop goals being conceded. They can't do much of that in the opposition box? ???

It's been a long time coming. Upson has scored goals throughout his career from corners and wide set pieces. When was the last time Greer managed one?

The game at Burnley with the CMS overhead kick if I remember correctly, technically he got a brace that day as he scored their goal in the 3-1 victory
