Brighton owner Tony bloom has had to talk new manager Sami Hypiea out of quitting due to a difference in views on signing new players. A few transfers have not gone through due to the loose ends not being tied up leaving Hypiea furious and telling bloom he will quit.

It is understood that Brighton have made a bid for FC Nurmberg striker Tomas Pekhart. Brighton boss Sami Hyypia sees the Czech international as an ideal and direct replacement for recently departed striker Leonardo Ulloa, the fee is reported to be in the region of £2.5 million.
