Bruno did well to head clear a dangerous cross by Eagles as play switched to the other end. But Albion, whose fans were in fine voice, could be fairly happy with their start.

3:16pm
Then Vicente made a strong drive down the middle which was ended by a foul 30 yards out. David Lopez flighted the centrally placed free-kick to Crofts, in space on the left of the box, and his angled volley was pushed behind by Lonergan stretching to his left.

3:13pm
Vicente was shrugged off the ball easily on a couple of early occasions but produced a nice touch down the right to make space for Bruno on nine minutes. The full-back whipped in a nice cross and Barnes' glancing header flew over the bar.

3:10pm
Ngog was the first to get a shot on target with a low drive after beating Bridcutt and Upson on the edge of the box but it was straight at Kuszczak.

3:08pm
Kuszczak's accurate delivery sent Barnes away down the left to combine with Ulloa before being crowded out in the Bolton area.
A minute later Barnes, finding early space in an atacking left-of-centre role, fired in a volley which was deflected for a corner.

3:06pm
Recalled Eagles, on the left, got in the first cross in only the second minute but Upson was alert and cleared. When Eagles then lofted the ball back in, Kuszczak came out to catch and set Albion moving with a swift punt.*

3:02pm
Albion, in green and black, will defend the away end in this first half.

The stand opposite us is named in honour of Nat Lofthouse.

Reports suggest Bolton's fans have been in good voice of late. Their team have certainly come from behind, or scored late, to grab some very handy points. Albion are expected to have about 1,000 here today for the club's first trip to The Reebok. They have the western half of the lower tier of the South Stand, behind the goal to my right.

Looking a match between two form teams in the Championship? Then you have come to the right place.
Bolton Wanderers (unbeaten in seven, won their last four) v Albion (unbeaten in six). Both teams in the running for the play-offs (no matter how much Bolton boss Dougie Freedman might try to play down his team’s chances). And an intriguing Albion line-up too.
A traditional-style running report plus selected tweets will follow right here.* You can also follow our team from The Argus on Twitter via andyNaylorArgus Brian__Owen Simondackpix*
