On the way up to London today I noticed that people in high-vis are pulling up the old railway tracks to the east of the main line around Lovers' Walk depot, and putting down a long concrete channel, covered over in parts.
Has anyone got any idea what they're doing, or what their plans are for all the land when all the track has been taken up? I know they intended to extend northwards the pedestrian path through the New England Quarter that crosses New England Road on the old bridge that led to the goods yard, but I can't imagine it has anything to do with this.
