Is it possible to turn up on Monday before the game and purchase a ticket from the Ticket office? I understand it's free to season ticket holders of which i'm not one plus i don't know if i'll be finished work in time hence don't want to pre purchase a ticket.

No, but you can purchase online up to kick-off and then collect at the ticket office.
