Very impressed by Barnes today. Very unimpressed by the dickhead who sits behind me who slagged him off throughout the entire game regardless of his good performance and goal. You really do get some idiots at football matches

I'd say the 'standout' players were Calderon, Lopez, Bridcutt and Orlandi

Kuszczak-7
Calderon-8
Greer-7
El-Abd-6.5
Bridge-7
Bridcutt-8
Hammond-6.5
Lopez-8.5-MOM-He gives the ball away a fair bit but makes up for that by playing defence splitting passes
Orlandi-8
Buckley-6.5-Quiet by his standards although came into a bit more in the 2nd half
Barnes-7.5-Thought he got little service but brought the ball down well and was in the right place at the right time for the goal.

The Fifth Column Jay Cartwright- I thought Calde was one of our best players today, including a superb assist, what made you rate him down out of interest?
I just copied his template and didn't really change any.
I'll boost him up to a 7 then.

Have to agree with Mustafa re Calderon. He put in a very decent showing today. Can't see any reason to mark him down

He is one of our best players going forward. Honestly, whenever he plays he seems to play a part in a goal or score one himself! Thought he might do with that free header in the second half!

Kuzczack 7
Bridge 6
El Abd 7
Greer 6
Calde 8
Bridcutt 9 MOM
Hammond 7
Orlandi 8
Lopez 7
Barnes 6
Buckley 5

Subs: All 6 but Kaz was pulled back when through on goal and the referee got it wrong again.

The number 10 for Derby (Ward was it) made a huge difference when he came on and their 7 Coutts was good too.

Coutts is a very tidy player.

Kooshack - 8 - quality when needed. Not too much in demand despite the horrors of the final 15 plus 6/7
Calderon - 8 - did his job defensively, played in lopez for the goal, direct cross for Orlandi's
Bridge - 7 - normal quality but lost his man for the goal.
Greer - 7 - Perfectly decent shift. Impressed he managed to keep his attempt on target on the swivel!
El-Abd - 7 - Good performance not quite an 8 though... but nearly. Or maybe 8. Go on then 8.
Orlandi - 8 - Neat and effective and generally quality. Great timed run for the goal. Loses a mark for toe-poking when he should have smashed it... Player himself looked gutted when withdrawn despite a good game which shows he cares.
Lopez - 8 - Good with some excellent moments, some sloppy. Great timing on the cross for the first goal.
Bridcutt - 9 - Sublime
Hammond- 7 - Decent and involved
Buckley - 7 - Good but not quite his best.
Barnes - 8 - Well taken goal and some excellent hold-up play. Some good running too - with a touch more pace would lead the line extremely well.

Subs
Lua lua - 7 - Didn't get into the game but some timely interceptions and general good teamwork as well as relief from bombardment in drawing fouls. Not sure if I need to be gutted and angry about the incident as he raced to the penalty box and was nobbled.
Dicker - 6 - Didn't observe too much involvement once on the pitch
Crofts - 6 - As above, less time to impact.

TK -7- not much to do throughout
Calde -6- solid performance. Should have done better with free header good assist for Orlandi's goal
Greer -7- composed at the back . Would like to see him encourage the defence to push out more
El Abd -7- dealt with Sammon very well who was a tricky player to play against
Bridge -6- lost his man at their goal
Bridcutt -8- usual commanding performance from Bridcutt
Hammond -6- hardly noticed he was playing. Game passed him by
David -8- MOTM our in form player at the moment.
Buckley -7- not his usual electric performance but still contributed
Orlandi -7- seems to take his harder chance but miss a sitter. Best signing this season IMO
Barnes -8- Got into the position for the first goal. Seemed to fade 2nd half when Gus put him on the right and Buckley up front

Don't think subs were on long enough to influence game

Nice to see the team is playing well again and high markings. I guess also Gus should also be complemented for team structure and performance with our leading scorer out through injury.

Good to see there is no Gus out poll tonight, or thoughts of when he might leave.
