Is that Robin friday who played for Reading or Stan bowles ... Classic pic !

As box of frogs said it's Robin Friday. The goalie had been giving it large that he wouldn't score against him. Then true to form Friday showed a sublime bit of skill and slotted it past him. He's been discussed on here before, but I highly recommend the book about Him

10 years ago today, I believe!

9, my wife was overdue by a day when the final was played and I thought she was going to give birth at that picture moment. If "Jasmine" had been a boy, she would have been a "Jonny"

Indeed it was 9, it was played on my 10th birthday! My father went to the game, but I sadly, did not.

Belgian No.10 Ludo Coeck died in a car crash in 1985 aged 30, used to score great long range goals. Isn't this the match after the hand of god match where M'donna scored a similar jinking run goal as he did against us?
