Fresh chicken shouldn't smell of anything.
I've stopped buying breasts completely. I buy a free range full bird but joint it myself. It works out cheaper than buying non free range chicken.
It also tastes nicer.
Takes a bit of practice but I got there in the end.
I'm not bothered about organic just buy the ones that have run around outside.

If in doubt cook it longer.
The upside being, if you're still in doubt it could result in some weight loss.
