Paul Heaton says he cringes when he thinks about some of his Housemartins lyric writing. For me London 0 Hull 4 is an all time classic album.

From that period in the mid to late eighties, after The Smiths had split & pre Roses/Mondays, they were the best band around. Two great albums then split at the right time before they turned into the Beautiful South
