I've just listened to The Tuesday Club podcast (Alan Davies, Arsenal).
Anyway Tony Adams philosophy, as he told it to AD was:-

A teams not a team until you have at least 7.

The 7 in question, are not English, drinkers, gamblers, jailbirds, centre backs, or anything else you'd associate with TA. But what Gary Hart alluded to on Roar.

A teams not a team until you have at least 7 players prepared to fight the opposition in the tunnel.

So who were the other 5 from our starters, last season?

Who are the two starters for us then?

Greer & AEA?

CMS and Bridders I would say.

Probably Dicker as well as he is Irish, maybe NAV and Noone as well being SCOUSERS .

Barnes HAS to be in. He is constantly on the verge of kicking off.

I think CMS is too NICE as well. Lovely fella.

Forgot about Barnes.

Nah I reckon CMS can handle himself if called upon.

You think!
They could be shaking hands with supporters in the East, while someone swung and missed @ Noone in the tunnel.
Nooney still wouldn't get the first punch in.

El Abd - Barca and Real Madrid
Greer

Barnes - Man City top of the Premier League
Navarro - Champs league places
Dicker
Mattock

Bridcutt - Cup upsets
Noone
Sparrow

Calderon - Wild card

CMS - probably a bit harsh putting CMS in the 4th divison, but deffo 3rd round of the cup.

Can we count Charlie and Taricco as 'starting in the tunnel'?

Greer and El-Abd deffo.

Reyes
Mattock
Bridcutt
Sparrow
Barnes

But the very first head-mentalist would be... Vincelot. Absolutely hatstand when he wants to be...

In OGH's day, you struggle to name seven who wouldn't kick-off in the tunnel.

It was 10 fighters and Paul Brooker, doing his knitting, reluctantly hitting someone out of duty.

I've now pictured an image of this, in my mind.

Somewhat akin to the Meercat on look out, sensing trouble.
Greer gets a tingle on his nose, instantly he and El Abd set off for the tunnel at warp factor 9.
