Pompey could be relegated at the weekend depending on results. Birch has called a meeting for April 26th , so we have to cross our fingers the plug isn't pulled before the final league game of the season on the 28th.

Pompey relegated excelent news, hopefully liquidation will be next.

And if that's up to the council, then it's the fans job to make it known they will only vote for people that would never lift it.

The ideal scenario is for Pompey to play their final game on the 28th and then be liquidated 2 days later , saves all the additional paperwork for the FA to sort out if they go bust beforehand.

Look what happened with The Goldstone , Chartwell acquired it for £7M but sold it on for £23M once the planning permission was granted for a retail park.

Assuming they go after end of season (and can't see league letting it happen before then with 4 games to go) what happens in League One next season? Do they promo 5 from League two and 3 from Conference with knock ons all the way down the Leagues?

The club finishing in 21st place in L1 this season could be reprieved from relegation which would make the numbers up for next season , 4 clubs would still be promoted from L2 allowing another Conference team to be promoted (3 in total) with a knock on effect down the leagues.

This could be good for Wrexham - avoids play offs and to be fair they deserve auto promo based on the two games against us.

Indeed, that's what can happen. I don't think fans or council should let it happen though.
