How it shit pisses name are Reading in the position they are, one of the worst teams to grace the Amex pitch yet !!!:mad::mad:
I was walking past a group of middle aged Reading supporters on my way out and i overheard one of them saying exactly what i was thinking he said to his mates and i quote
"lads how the f*** did we win that" ?
My thoughts exactly, how did they win that !!
Oh by the way Jason Roberts just for the record your a f***ing wanker :wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker::wanker:

Reading are in the position they're in because they are a very good Championship team - FACT !
Did you not go to the game up at their place on New Years Day ?, or watch the Football League Show ?

Having said that, I thought we were much better than them tonight and deserved to win the game, but just couldn't take our chances. And I won't disagree with you about Jason Roberts either

I did go to the match on "Boxing Day" and they weren't that good that day either, winning by a large scoreline doesn't always reflect the gameplay either !! Which was proved last night, won the game but were dreadful.

That game pretty much sums up our season.... Loads of good possession, but lacking the killer final ball in and around the box and lacking a lethal finisher up front. At this level and higher you get punished for missing chances and we certainly have been at times this season. A couple of additions to the squad and we will have a solid championship side pushing for a top two finish.

Reading had key players missing and soaked up everything we had to offer. They are 2nd because they are a very solid side, not pretty to watch, but effective. We are pretty to watch but tend to over complicate when attacking, almost trying to walk the ball into the net. A bit of luck would have seen us come away with 3 points last night. Their keeper was the difference for them. Bloody good for a little fella. That said, I reckon Reading will do no better than QPR next season.

Complete ineptitude in front of goal. Albion certainly had the chances but made nothing of them - Federici could only save the shots because they were put in savable places - the chances were good enough that they could and should have given him no chance. And the shot off the bar from an open goal 2 yards out (towards the end of the first half) was criminal!

And that against a team missing both of their first-choice central midfielders and playing with light-weights there. If Albion can't take advantage of a situation like that I despair that they'll ever be able to profit.

Finally, El-Abd. Frankly, the face-clutching is getting embarrassing. How can a player go down writhing in agony six times in a single match? No wonder the referee gave him nothing all game.

Or the final free kick that Dodgy Dicker did cock all with:shrug:
Vicente is our dead ball specialist FFS!

Has Adan El-Abd been dating Leon Knight? He was the best diver we've had to date ....

Storyof the season.all the play cant put it in the net

Is the correct answer for me , we're lacking our killer instinct in front of goal - we looked scared to properly shoot , the same as our poor run earlier in the season.

Remind you of West Ham a little bit? They did a job on us, congratulations to them. Very lucky goal, 1-0 win. Simple.
No, it didn't remind me of West Ham. Against ham, we had loads of the ball, but never looked like we could score. That's not how I saw last night, we obviously should've scored our penalty, and perhaps we should have had another penalty too. I'd like to see replays of those appeals, and also what appeared to be a soft free kick that they scored from. Against West Ham I don't think we were good enough, yesterday I think we were unlucky.

From a selfish point of view, do you think you would have scored if you had natural goal scorers like Sharp or Lambert in your team (not saying you dont have)?

Trying to draw up some positives for this Friday.

Yes. If Reading have another showing like last night you will rip them apart.

Every time they got the ball they just punted it in the vague direction of Roberts and it would usually either;

A> Go out of play for a throw, or
B> Go straight to Brezovan

Probably the most frustrated Ive felt after a match. I thought Reading were poor and we deserved nothing less than a win from the chances we had. Gutted

The answer is Smith Barnes and Vokes, have they got 20 outfield goals in league games beteen them yet this season
