Saw the live show a couple of weeks back in Birmingham. Predictably bizarre but brilliant. Bob Mortimer is a genius.

Go back and listen to the others. Flintoff's story about viagra (second or third episode maybe) had me laughing out loud in the middle of the office.
I think I'm a bit like you in that I can't/couldn't stand Savage but he comes across pretty well on this podcast. Total thickett, but at least he seems a bit more human than he does on TV and his dreadful time with us (although that comes up in one episode - something about Nicky Forster (I think) moving his car). The episode he talks about his dad is genuinely moving. Flintoff is also very open about his mental health issues.
Only one episode left sadly. Hope it gets another run.
Haha they are my favourite bits of the show. Closely followed by the Gangs of the EPL. Fingers crossed for some Albion related tales next season perhaps?!

I'm currently working in reverse chronological order on these. They are wonderful.
The balance between the 3 presenters is brilliant.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before (can't be arsed to go all the way through) but if you like Gary Delaney's comedy (bloke from Mock The Week) and those types of comedy panel games then Panelbeaters Comedy is worth a listen.
Basic premise is the standard comedy panel show but without the restrictions of TV/radio and with the added value of Death (played by Rob Mulholland) who judges the show and kills off one of the contestants at the end. It is mainly Northern based comics - some known including Jason Manford, Justin Moorehouse - some not so well known but most of them are very entertaining.

I've done a couple of episodes of At Home with Colin Murray: Jimmy White, and Ian Wright. JW comes across as the NICEST chap. It's kinda interesting. The problem is, I cannot get past my utter and deep dislike of Murray. He seems to think that part of his popularity is down to him braying on about how cool he feels having so many sporting legends as mates. He's turning into Simon Bates (one for the kids, there). Loathsome. And now he's returned to make Fighting Talk less than essential listening. Which is a shame.

Our Man in the Middle East is superb. Not sexy (Israel etc) but Jeremy Bowen alone is worth the license fee.

Summer is my downtime for 'casts so I traditionally look for something new.
With that in mind I've stumbled into Crime In Sport.
It's American, too long with plenty of bad language.
2 comedians dissect a case where a sports star, predominantly American (but I'm currently listening to them try and get their heads round Rugby because of Marc Cecillon) who fall from grace.
The hosts are rude, snarky, and certainly aren't PC.
They've grated me we a few trains of thought, but I bring this to you as they've also made me properly laugh out loud.

Jimbo and Producer Ben leaving Guardian Football Weekly to start a new one with Ian Mackintosh. I hope Barry and the rest of the team go with them, but I can envisage the Guardian getting Max Rushton into the hotseat instead.
Shame as it's consistently been among the very best football podcasts going.

The latest West Wing Weekly is the episode where Josh gets involved with a t'internet messageboard based on him in the White House.
It turns out that subplot is based on real life events as Aaron Sorkin got himself embroiled the same way.
The podcast begins with the full story and an interview with the actual moderators Sorkin parodies in the show.
Got to love the behind the scenes stuff, like this.

This isn't a recommendation as such, as I haven't actually listened to the Podcast, but I have just listened to an interview with Miller.
Well regarded author goes deep into something specific, starting with Curb Your Enthusiasm.
It appears to begin with a general overview, before moving onto specific cast character episodes to pick an choose from.
It looks like it might be an interesting series as Miller is currently working on an eclectic mix of topics inc pop culture, personal, and even architecture.

I'm a fan of the 'Waking Up' podcast from Sam Harris. He is probably best known for being an atheist and his views on Islam as 'the motherlode of bad ideas' but he also is highly critical of Trump and aspects of the left. I don't agree with all his views but they are always well presented and they have made me review some of my cosier assumptions. He has some controversial guests and doesn't shy away from sensitive topics but the interviews last 90 mins to over 2 hours which really gives him a chance to explore these. Also ranges into topics like AI and mindfulness. Recommended as a good antidote to the sound bites and stifling of debate that we see too often these days. If you like C Hitchens and Dawkins you are likely to enjoy this.
