Another blissful BHA weekend over 30 'gulp' years ago now !!
Over 22,000 in the Goldstone alone to welcome the boys back !!
An Amex attendance plus , just for a party !
Then 100000 plus on the streets - deep joy, seems like yesterday.
Memories of this made Walsall so very special.

Quality I was there as a 7 year old, at newcastle and in southwest for goldstone parade. I have got an old scrapbook/photos as well, will have to dig out and scan.

It was indeed a marvellous weekend.

What a day, went to Newcastle on a seagull special with my dad and uncle. The players were on the train on the way back, champaign all round, players walked through the train shaking hands and signing autographs and when we got back to Brighton in the early hours of Sunday morning Brighton station was so packed we couldn't get off the train. Fantastic.

Great pictures & thank you....i have several of the Goldstone taken in 1992 from the pre season-deckchair kit era-some nice ones,all the usual angles,will be uploading in the comming weeks..

Travelled on normal inter-city, as a kid with Dad.

Got back too early, as I only found out years later than thousands greeted the players at Brighton Station/Queens Road in the early hours of Sunday.

Anyone here there?

(And does anyone remember a few rogue Sunderland fans near us in a corner, desparate for us to lose, and/or cause trouble?
