Some good running today. Looking forward to the revised table later. I skipped parkrun today as going to continue my comeback with the Sussex half marathon a week tomorrow and didn't fit into my plans.

Talking of the table was it ever decided what defined a season? Not sure how much longer I can dine out on my current sb. Is it the new year?
Yes the New Year. It will have to be a clean slate on all sb 5k times. Other distances seem to be pbs.
    Good luck in the half.

Looking forward to hearing about the The Battle of Hove Park. 21:32 for me at Worthing. Not great but a category win and I've had a bit of a bug in the last few days - so just pleased to get out and run.

Good I'll tell you my tactics. I'll start nearish the front and set off too quick so that I clear the masses and can run tightish on the first curve. Then I'll drop slightly, let you overtake me, follow you for a couple of miles and then take over when you're not going fast enough for me. That's the dream anyway..... Hope we both get a SB!
Well that went to plan. Let down by @Greg Bobkin slowing at the halfway stage. His excuse was I'm waiting for Lucy, which is fair enough but he could have met her at the finish line.... Had to go without him and Lucy. All fine till the last 200m when my pace dropped 1/2 a minute a mile running in. 21:31 and a hefty 25 seconds knocked off the SB!

Revised table to follow with movement for me and changes for @soistes and @Left Back.

Does anyone know the latest on the Lancing parkrun? I still can't see it working, but often the routes are difficult to envisage beforehand.

I believe it's still going ahead with a couple of laps of the green to thin out the numbers before hitting the path.

Hope this goes ahead. It's a bit confusing (and I'm probably going to add to it) because there's already an organised 5K weekly run at Lancing on Sundays. This isn't run under the auspices of parkrun but looks something similar - i.e. a volunteer based, free local run but takes place within a national framework (Great Local Run). It looks very low-key and very worthy.. Maybe the parkrun will use the same route.

Talking of which I add another year to my tally at the end of October. My target for the first two parkruns in November is a sub 21:10 Parkrun. This will put me back in an AG silver medal position with 75+%.
Might as well aim for 21:00 and move up three league places as well. I'll need a pacer @Left Back. Lancing or Worthing?
