Please can EVERYONE come to the game. It could well be the one and only time Ward plays for the supporters team and Marlowe is making a huge effort for the 8th time.

Its a cracking night out. A great atmosphere and the main fund raising event of the year ( along with Tony's excellent Golf days ).

Its a lovely ground , 1 minute from the Train station. So far we have confirmed Peter Ward, Ricky Marlowe, Dick Knight, Phil Prosser with Peter Taylor an outside chance.

I'm only asking this because I am curious.

Could the match not have been staged at Withdean?

I see there is an after match game tomorrow involving the surviving stewards from the pitch invasion and there is a further match on Bank Holiday Monday featuring school teachers and BHA fans.

We held it at Withdean 3 times before. Although it was great to play there and the facilities were good , it was Too Big for the event and lacked atmosphere. Lewes FC is compact and just the right size for the event.

I'll be there with the kids and am trying to rally all those of us who were there in the late 70s/early 80s when he was in his pomp

Might even tie a scarf round me wrist; don't see that these days, do you
