Southern Railway - Falmer

Hello Paul,

At the very impressive presentation last night it was mentioned the club are in consultation with Southern Railway regarding train services for Falmer.

Are the club aware this franchise is up for tender in 2009 therefore another train operator could actually be running the train services when the stadium opens ?

I am just concerned that any agreements might actually require re-negotiation which may actually be critical given the requirement that many fans must travel by train.

Yes it has come up a couple of times in the negotiations. It is unlikely that any new franchisee will take a different stance to Southern who are being very co-operative.
