Aussie rules is a great spectacle to watch. A very different experience to football though. I went to see two local rivals play at the MCG a couple of years back and there were 70000 fans there but the atmosphere was almost non-existent. Mixed fans throughout the stadium too which probably didn't help. You'd get a better atmosphere between local rivals over here with only a 10000 attendance.

LET'S GO HAWKS, LET'S GO!.

Oh we're from Tigerland
A fighting fury we're from Tigerland
In any weather you will see us with a grin
Risking head and skin
If we're behind
we'll never mind
we'll fight and fight and win
oh where from tigerland
we never weaken til the final siren goes
like the tigers of old
we're strong and we're bold
oh we're from tiger
-YELLOW AND BLACK-
oh we're from tigerland

Australian Rules by a long way, then Gaelic.

The most spectacular, fast and furious football on the planet is Aussie Rules.

Far less of this stop start shit they have in rugby and especially NFL.

Also has the potential to produce the most scoring chances of all the codes.

Nothing comes close to the specky!

Do you think Geelong are going to run away with it again Biggums? I'm annoyed Sydney haven't had more of a clearout - they played on reputation alone last season.

Cheer, cheer the red and the white,
Honour the name by day and by night,
Lift that noble banner high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky
Whether the odds be great or small,
Swans will go in and win overall
While her loyal sons are marching
Onwards to victory.

Rugby Union, have been to three games, two of which were mildly entertaining, one of them featured England thrashing Scotland which gave me great pleasure...even if I hadn't a clue what was going on, can't understand why you can only pass backwards as it doesn't seem to help fast attacking moves. Haven't the foggiest about any of the others listed but Aussie rules looks pretty mental, if I ever visit the sub-continent I will definitely try to take in a game.

American football for me. Been following the sport for over 30 years now, I love it depsite my team being pretty crap for about 25 of those years. Skill, strategy, athleticism and sheer brute force it's got it all.
