COD4 is very similar to Halo, loads of kids run and gun. I prefer Rainbow 6 where you have to act as a team in some games.

Got COD5 beta code yesterday so will play a bit today.

If you run and gun in COD you will get found out time and again by more intelligent players.

Whereas in Halo it really is whoever runs and guns the most frantically wins.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a fantastic game. The single-player experience is easily Infinity Ward's best work to date. Calling it intense may be an understatement. The overall story is standard action movie fare, but the relationships built over the short five hours of play are surprisingly strong. Though the single-player lacks length, the multiplayer should keep you invested in COD4 for the long winter.

COD 4 is more than just an modified setting. It's also a wonderful multiplayer first-person shooter and a short single-player campaign to make it a rare shooter in an age filled with clearly dozens of standout shooters.

As sad as it may sound I have had EVERY call of duty from the original xbox to the 360 and have to say COD4 is IMO the second best for online and story mode. My personal favourite was on the original xbox and it was COD Big Red One. Brilliant WW2 story to it and online it was quality.

Call of Duty 4 also stores your settings in the registry and retrieves them when you are playing the game. Registry fragmentation slows down the process of retrieving and storing this information and therefore Call of Duty 4 lags.
