Wow they're back are they? Knew those new-fangled electric things wouldn't cut the mustard. I wonder whether my old train numbers books are still around, and whether I can pick up any of those missing West Country class engines I used to stand on Olive Road bridge to cop at 10.30/11.30 every day. Anorak feelings are returning ....

It was a very bizarre retro day yesterday, steam trains chuffing through Preston Park and the London Road packed with loads of old fords, I had to check myself at times ..
