This is the sad reality for so many pubs, at least as a house it can retain something. When the bigger pubs get turned into shit flats ( Surry in Shoreham) or small supermarkets ( numerous ) they're gone forever.
I always quite fancied the idea of a pub as a house, plenty of garaging, big...
The Arundel Arms . . . . And The Swan in Church St . . .actually I lived there 20 years ago . . . It was virtually a pub, and a den of eniquity if memory serves ;-) happy daze
The Dead Lion is somewhat run down, but it is a very old Tavern, would be nice to see it restored/renovated and to reopen.
The Beer festivals were nice when they started, but by 2005 ish had just truned into a chav fest with a load of rugger buggers thrown in for good measure . . . . being...
