I'm not sure why they don't load up more buses at once and then have those leave in convoy, so that more people wait inside, out of the cold and rain. Works well at other clubs. I suppose the problem could be a lack of space so there's nowhere for the next batch of buses to wait.
WSU middle of a row. Left as soon as the final whistle went, walked at a normal pace and was parked at Mithras House. Usually get the train but will probably go P and R for evening games in future.
I never understand that either. The only reason I suppose is for people who physically can't manage the walk. My Mum is in her late 70s with knee trouble and gets across from the uni fine though, so I can't imagine there are too many who genuinely fall into that category.
Did you know that there are coaches you can book on to from all over the county? Did you know there are railway stations all over Britain and most of then have car parks? Do you know there are some pretty efficient park and rides on match days? Do you know there are plenty of parking spaces in...
No. What it comes down to is the club speeding the process of getting to and from games for the vast majority of fans. Those in Bennett's Field have the chance to get a pass at the university which, most of the time, flows really well. It's ludicrous that buses moving thousands of people are...
Next time you car drivers are all queuing, can you get out of the bus lane please and stop buggering up the transport for everyone else. Cheers
Nor do I. But I think the thinking behind it is that people assume that if they park on site, they will be away quicker and therefore home earlier. That's pretty much untrue of any football ground car park but a hard habit to get fans to break. I left the ground after the final whistle and was...
Incidentally, if I got back to my house more than 120 miles away at 0050 from an event attended by 20000+ that was always going to end around ten o'clock, I'd think that was pretty reasonable.
What the heck went wrong last night on site certainly needs investigating. If the club sells parking, it has to be honoured. But what the heck goes wrong overall is that far too many people who don't need to still use the worst possible way of getting to the ground and then moan about it...
