I loved those - like a bounty but with cherries mixed with the coconut. Also, original double deckers when they had raisins mixed into the crispy bit at the bottom.

On the booze front, as the 70s were the boom time for the package holiday, most houses had one of those wine carafes that they has wine poured into their mouths from on their Spanish holiday. Of course, to keep it company you had a giant sombrero and a raffia...

If I remember correctly, the name of the bloke was Mr Stay.
One other thing missing from here is the family parties where your dad would try to open the Party 7 without it exploding all over the kitchen.
My mum used to work for the local tally man, making alterations to suits, trousers and dresses for people. If I remember correctly, when my dad passed his driving test our first car was the tally mans old Ford Corsair as he had just bought a new Cortina.
In addition to the above, we used to get bottles of Corona delivered (with bottles that you got money back on when returned) and at Christmas we were allowed to choose some of the exotic flavours such as limeade or cream soda.
My granddad would treat us to the very expensive R Whites lemonade...
