    Well they let me vote with my id but some herbert did ask for my polling card outside. Not sure what that was about but I informed them that I didn't need it. Lol.

    I'm going to test my driving licence at the polling station tonight. I'll see if some jumped up little Hitler decrees that the photo isn't me. It was good enough to hire a car 6 days ago. Lol.

    Yes - the fiddle is to turn you away outside the polling station so you are not part of the "turned away" count which is done inside the room. Dodgy stuff.

    Yes, but the official Government Voter Id information states that you need a new Government Voter Id pass if the photo on your passport/driving licence doesn't look like you. Why state that if they don't assess it when you vote ?

    I thought this the other day. I've always had a preference at elections but could see why people might vote differently. At the next election I'll be truly and utterly baffled by anyone voting for the current crew.

    And don't forget if the local, untrained amateur goon checking your passport photo doesn't think the picture looks like you then "sorry, no can do, off you pop".
