Far too early to claim any of that. If we are within 5 points of the playoffs by New Year, it's very much game on for a successful season.

The more I think about it, the more I want the gloating Nigels to be rock bottom of the league tonight. An unlikely victory for Sunderland would do that.

Not that worried about how well Gus does, but good luck to him nevertheless with his Premier League dream. However, it would be truely great today to see a Sunderland win, and as a result Palace on the bottom of the pile.
