Vitriol really? All I am saying is I would not have given much help notice to another keeper until a striker was signed. If both first team keepers were injured (unlikely in their position would an emergency loan not be possible? Do they still do those?)
At the fans forum it was said that we would build a squad capable of staying up. In my humble opinion unless we sign a quality striker tonight then that has not been achieved. Hopefully all this bedwetting from many of us (myself included) is just premature and we pull the iron out of the fire...
Of course I don't think we are unable to complete both at the same time but if money is an issue I would rather save cash from such unnecessary signings and put them towards a player that may help us to stay ul
Not many on here are happy about the situation. I would be delighted if we sign a quality striker but don't feel as if the club can't be criticised if we dont
I completely understand what you are saying but having been promoted in April do you not think that signing one striker since then would be a must? Signing a bloody third choice goalkeeper yet only having one fit striker at this moment in time is ridiculous (I'd nothing permanent even a loan...
I appreciate where you are coming from but at the end of the day the paying 'customers' were promised a squad that could compete in the Premier League. That doesn't appear to have materialised IMO (I will be delighted to be proved wrong) and therefore I think heads should roll if we don't pull...
Gutted for them? For doing a shit job at recruiting Premier League standard players all summer yet getting paid millions? Not CH's or TB's fault but if we don't get players in Barber and Winstanley have some explaining to do to the fans that spend thousands of pounds a year to watch us.
Bullshit excuse. The cluster recruitment was actively promoted as a solution to what can happen if our initial targets fail and yet with 3 minutes to go until the window closes we have not signed a single striker since being promoted. Not acceptable.
Exactly that. The problem isn't just that our current strikers are not good enough but the fact that we only have three first team strikers and one of them is injured indefinitely! I can't believe that there isn't a decent young striker in Europe that we couldn't have tempted or taken a gamble...
