Potentially less of an issue with a southern-based loanee than with a permanent transfer where the chances of a side staying up are a bigger issue. In the case of Gibbs both the other clubs are both bigger and have a greater prospect of staying up than us.

I believe a number of clubs have looked then questioned what they are being "sold" in terms of age/ background etc.
As for Snodgrass: 100 PL games, goal ratio of 1:5, pace & resilience. Not the best option but not a bad option. Ticks a lot of boxes.
