    I did think it was either that or xylophone. A riff is just a repeated series of notes or chord patterns so I would say Creep does have one.

    Similarly, while obviously an iconic riff, Smells Like Teen Spirit is not even the best Nirvana riff, let alone the best of the last century. All Apologies or In Bloom for me.
