The problem is the doctors and nurses we put through world class training can be cherry picked where countries such as Australia can at least double or triple their salary in the UK.

The NHS has been dependent on immigration for the last 50 years at least. There has always been a shortfall of GPs , doctors and nurses leading to backfilling from outside of the UK.

UKIP do want immigrants in the UK but it would be controlled through a points system (Australia and Canada have these)

I would say voters are primarily attracted to UKIP because they don't want the EU to dictate what the UK can or cannot do when other member states turn a blind eye to directives.

The idea is to issue work permits so those who make a contribution to society are welcome and at the same time weed out those who simply arrive with the intention of living off the state for the rest off their lives.

Will we see another half dozen Tory MPs resigning and forcing by-elections in the early new year ?
