    Oh right. I think my problem is I just don't like the characters, but neither copy has gone to the Red Cross yet so ....., I liked the film though. WB's is another writer I struggle with, but he is/was an intriguing person

    I'm with you with Dickens, forced to read Oliver Twist and Great Expectations so doesn't count. I figure there's enough misery in life without reading about it, same reason I never watch Eastenders

    OMG! I read Metamorphosis when I was about ten, I had no idea Kafka wrote that! It was a book my older brother had, along with 'After the Fire' and 'The Catcher in the Rye'

    just because a book is a best seller it doesn't mean it's actually read and there is NO WAY you can judge a book by it's cover. I would recommend Wuthering Heights btw .... I couldn't put it down and read it in a day
