This bloke could be a decent chap and still knew about this in advance, the two aren't mutually exclusive, it's not the misdemeanour of the century.
Anyway, the chap seems to be taking it all very amicably, whilst making himself somewhat of a public martyr. Few things don't add up to me, but...
If tickets get sold to people who shouldn't have them, because they don't have the necessary points, they don't get to general sale in the first place.

Something smells a bit fishy with this, i.e. he had no idea his son's, who were oblivious of the rules, were ordering tickets in his name, then changing the name on the ticket to one of their GFs. You would think...
Fair enough that this is punished, maybe just the 50-point reduction though, that could even be increased, don't see the need for the significant home ban.
