[Cricket] 1st Test: England vs New Zealand @ Lords

I just came back to this thread to post something very similar. The last 5 days have been a brilliant advert for test cricket. Think it was great that Lords let under 16's in for free today, so hopefully that will increase their interest in proper cricket.

And of course could have taken a nasty one and hurt his hand and stopped him bowling. I bet in the same situation the Aussies would have sent down some really nasty deliveries.

Think I'd like to see maybe 20-30 minutes for Cook and Ali getting their eye back in, then go into 20/20 slog anything mode. With only one successful Lords 4th innings chase over 300 in history, lets see a declaration at 350 lead or a Cook double ton, whichever comes first.

As they mentioned on Sky yesterday, I think Cook's return to form coincides with him stopping playing 1 day cricket.

With all results still possible it should be a really interesting days cricket today. I say should be though, because all I can see happening in reality is England batting too long and the match petering out to a bore draw.
