    Not saying that Tony Bloom shouldn't pocket some of the profit made in 21-22 and this season, but with around 220m in transfer income over the last 3 windows (including compo for coaching and other non-playing staff), I think it's fair to say we've got a bit more scope than in days of yore.

    We won't spend big on a keeper. Any keeper that would seriously push Sanchez for the No. 1 spot would cost us 15-20m plus wages to match. That's a lot of money to be sat on the bench for an average of 37 out of 38 PL games per season, so the money is better spent elsewhere on an outfield...

    We almost certainly made a profit last year - probably in region of 20-30m. However, we’ve also made losses in every other season since the Amex was built apart from 17-18, so you wouldn’t blame Bloom for not wanting to give him a blank cheque.
