If a person can get so wound up about someone calling their town crap on a football forum, then the Internet is not really for them and they should get themselves a safe-space.

Can I point out that I'm not bitter. Like I said before: despite playing for nothing, Burnley did us a huge favour 2 years ago and made for the funniest pitch invasion ever.
I just find the sudden influx of gloating Burnley fans quite odd.
If your life was so great, you wouldn't feel the need to sign up to the forums of teams that you don't support to gloat because your team has done well.
I care that the success of my football team is far less important to the happiness in my life than other more meaningful things. I have nothing against Burnley FC, particularly given the way that they gave 100% against Reading 2 years ago. However, I would not swap living there for anything, so...
