I'll get in there early.
If he was our signing
*Checks Wikipedia*. He played for Nurnbergs SECOND TEAM and has NO premier league experience. Development squad black hole for him.
Because he has signed for Huddersfield
*Checks Wikipedia* - WOAH. 5 goals in 9 games from midfield in 2017. This is...
I suppose another twist on it is Burnley were only JUST a bit better than us that season, and then didn't go crazy on the recruitment on the summer.
We are better now than that season. I really think we will and should follow the Burnley model of trusting the majority of players talent enough...
I'll leave you with this:
Burnley signed 5 players last summer I believe. Only 2 were starters. Stayed up
Middlesborough signed 11 players. Built a new team. Players like Negredo, Valdes, De Roon, Fischer, Traore, Fabio, Barragan, Chambers - Went down.
Chill out, yeah?
I get what you're saying but personally I think we will sign 3 more.
The Hudds fan on here also thinks they will sign 3 more.
So we have a group of players who already have had a season together(winning as well), plus the 2 new guys, plus the 3 newbies
Hudds have 7 new guys and 3 potential...
What on earth are you talking about. We got promoted. Our starting 11 was excellent and had been built over two seasons. The additions of Poc and Tomori were excellent squad additions who came in when required and let nobody down.
Huddersifled's recruitment last season was also fantastic and...
Tomori played 7 games
Adekugbe played 5
Akpom "played 8"
I never EVER said they didn't "make" an impact.
I said they weren't in our starting line up. I stand by that. I think every loan player had a player in front of them in terms of being first choice.
In Hudds case, the five they had were...
Is it a rant and a rave?
I'm simply pointing out that, if you are 5 players down on us to start with, you need to sign 5 players to be even.
You have signed lots of players because you needed lots of players. What Hudds did last year utilising the loan system was brilliant and worked very...
You can't surely claim Akpom had an influence. :lolol:
They borrowed more than 5 players last season I believe. I'm talking about the 5 who made up key members of the starting line up
They had 5 KEY starters on loan. We had none.
By the end of the season Murray was our player. So not a player we have to re-sign.
Bong was ahead of Poc in my opinion as first choice and Tomori certainly isn't ahead of Dunk or Duffy.
So no, that's still NO players in our starting line up who we had to give back to their parent clubs...
It's bizarre, I've seen the argument that Huddersfield getting their business done early let's their team "gel".
Somewhat ignoring the fact our team has been "gelling" for 12 months and we finished above them....so we had a better team. We had NO loan signings in out starting team last year...
“You mustn’t panic,” said Chris Hughton. “It’s not about just filling the numbers. What is important is getting in who you want, and if that takes a bit longer, so be it.”
Yeah, I'm going to this bloke.
Not getting this at all. Huddersfield's squad was FAR weaker than ours. They've needed to get bodies in to just get near what we have.
I'm absolutely delighted with two high quality players we have signed so far.
Huddersfield have signed:
Mooy (so no addition to what they already had and cost...
