There's a couple of cafes easily within 5 minutes walk of Queen's Park. There are several more on St James' Street and St George's Road which are less than 10 minutes walk away from the park itself too which is where the nearest shops are.
Fiveways is OK. When I was property hunting last year, I viewed a few places over that way. Some of the properties there are not quite as large inside as you think they are going to be.
