Yeah, tends to happen with higher value cars that get taken in burglaries. They steal the car with the keys, and then leave it parked somewhere relatively close by for a couple of days, just to see if it's got a tracker fitted.

Lately: £126 for a small strip of plastic that forms part of the bonnet catch mechanism on a Ford Focus, and without which, one cannot open the bonnet to check the oil, screenwash, coolant etc.
The part itself costs in the region of £25, the rest is labour :(
