Just to clarify, Blair made no claims that a god told him to go to war. That was ITV being disingenuous with regard to an interview they had with him.
I agree with your first sentence though. I would add that faith is what people believe but religion are the rules decided by certain people...
Is the point that we don't need a religion to claim the moral high ground. We know what is right and wrong and I would suspect that before anyone thought of the commandments, societies knew what was right or wrong.
So if you don't mind me asking what exactly is it that you believe? For example, do you believe that by praying these requests are answered or is it more down to the thought that there is some existence of some kind once you die?
It does annoy me when people seem to claim the moral high ground on behalf of religion. Good morals are not the preserve of religions.
