It's becoming a bit comical. Does anyone really believe they can tell the difference between 1cm and 7.5cm from Duffy's head when sitting in the stand and in real time. Even more so when the poster claimed to also be in line with the free kick. If that was the case, exactly how can you tell...

I base it on what I see on the pitch and whenever I've seen him he has misplaced too many passes. He is a good back up but, as you say, he is fourth choice in a midfield of two. We have a stronger squad but I would hate to have to rely on him if those above him got injured.

Are you saying Duffy needs to learn to jump higher?

It was, I wasn't trying to imply the intention was to curl it to the far post as I and some others were suggesting Norwood should have done. It was a great free kick by Watson but there were plenty of others where he played great balls in for Zamora.

Would you play him ahead of the other three? I suspect not so the only thing this thread confirms is that our squad is stronger.

Watson at Port Vale for example, 2002! Agree about Norwood's free kicks on Friday. They were close to being good but whilst that, from a distance might look good, they needed to be better and, as you say, should be directed to be inside the far post.

Not necessarily pointing the finger at Norwood for the defeats but at the flaws in the OPs analysis. That said, from what I've seen, he is fourth choice for a reason. With the defence, I'm happy that Goldson and BFG are more than adequate replacements to come in for Duffy/Dunk but I don't see...

Bristol, came on at 74 mins after we were already 2-0 up. Sheff Wed, played whole game. Wigan, poor performance and replaced by Stephens who got the winner. Burton, only played 10 mins but was coincidentally on the pitch when Hemed scored penalty. I haven't seen a telling performance from him...

He also started in the defeat to Brenford and came on as sub against Newcastle!!!!
