It's quite easy. Write him a letter if you're desperate for him to know how you feel. My thoughts are with him and his family but I personally don't see the necessity for a minutes applause.

I don't believe for one minute that AK is expecting any separate tribute to his father.
Where does it stop? As soon as you pay tribute to the one players family bereavement aren't then obligated to do it for everyone.
