How much debt you in ?

Best not to think about it (and certainly not talk about it :lolol: :lolol: )

How much debt you in ?

Costing me close to that (ex beer and food) to go on my own....................

How much debt you in ?

The amex one does (think it’s £250 a year or something like that but very easily worth it for the Avios/companion voucher - it’s the ‘Premium Plus‘ card - the basic card is free but the bonuses are less), not the Hilton card though

How much debt you in ?

Virtually all our spending goes on credit cards (cleared in full every month)……split between a BA Amex card and a Hilton visa. The Avios and hilton points and other benefits (the Hilton card for example gets me an immediate Hilton Honors Gold Card which in turn means an almost certain upgrade on...

How much debt you in ?

It was a DC transfer in this case (hence the call was a waste of time really). Would struggle to find an IFA prepared to advise anyone in a DB scheme to transfer out now - so tightly regulated they won’t take the risk (probably rightly). Glad I pulled my modest DB scheme out when I did though...

How much debt you in ?

Odd times…….the traditional ‘low risk’, conservatively-invested portfolios (ie lots of pension funds) got hammered relative to those spread across higher risk investments. Was chatting to an IFA earlier in the week who has had many difficult meetings in the last few weeks.

How much debt you in ?

Good explanation here, plus a link to a useful calculator that allows you to see how overpaying affects the term https://www.moneysupermarket.com/mortgages/mortgage-overpayments/

How much debt you in ?

Varies per product, let alone lender…….need to check the specific T&C of the actual mortgage

How much debt you in ?

100%………as well as the increased flexibility it has a huge psychological impact too. For me it meant a complete change of mindset at work which I hadn’t anticipated - from ‘I have to keep this job/do well to pay the mortgage’ etc to ‘I don’t actually have to stay here, they probably need me more...

How much debt you in ?

Not sure everyone realises the impact on the term of the mortgage of overpaying, even modestly. It’s enormous……

How much debt you in ?

All very complicated……..worked in banking for 36 years and did my head in if that’s any comfort 🫣

How much debt you in ?

Not necessarily……if your pension is enough to service your debt and enjoy yourself, why not retire ?

How much debt you in ?

This describes a very high proportion of the people I worked with……..hence most of them are still working and I was able to comfortably bail at 54, debt free and just ahead of pension freedom time. We overpaid on our mortgage (modest house we stretched ourselves to buy 25 years ago) for years...

How much debt you in ?

Must be a tricky balance. Got pals who moved lock stock and barrel to Spain but didn’t last long - mostly missed grandkids and golf……ended up coming back but buying a holiday home there so a compromise (and they get to play golf in the warm during the winter)

How much debt you in ?

Have to say family, friends and watching the Albion live are pretty much the top 3 things in my life so missing them would leave a colossal hole.
